Logan Paul broke up WWE In-Ring for the first time at WrestleMania, he knows he’s good at it

There is a lot to tackle after the scene that was WrestleMania 38, including the celebrity matches that occupied both nights. One of the most impressive celebrity outings was by Logan Paul, who had his first WWE Tag Team match with The Miz and it didn’t take long to see that he was normal. Paul impressed a lot of fans during the match, especially after he started to control the heat by taunting the crowd with Eddie Guerrero’s signature moves. In his latest episode Impulse podcastPaul discussed his WWE debut inside the ring, including how much damage he’s doing to the mat, how he hopes to bridge the gap between the WWE world and the mainstream, and that while he wants to be humble, he’s good at it.

Paul first spoke about being in the ring, saying, “It’s electric. When someone you love is in that ring and doing these moves….by the way, I haven’t done any of those moves. That surface is hard, it’s not bouncy, it’s not a trampoline, there’s no Tender. It’s plywood, it’s wood. “Wrestling is fake.” Shut your mouth, I’m in pain. The left side of my body is killing me now. These are real hits, it hurts.”

“Practically speaking, even doing those moves you’re going to put your body in danger before the match. So you can do it on the crashboard as much as you want, but when you hit the three amigos – Ray had done that earlier in the match, he called back to Eddie Guerrero and his full shake It was just a little disrespectful that I did the move he just did – I’ve never trained for such an exercise. In the second my head bounced back and I definitely thought, ‘I just had a concussion.’ I look at the lights “Whatever, it’s WrestleMania. The adrenaline is crazy and the fans are going crazy.”

As for Guerrero’s heat, not much was known about him before, and it was not intended as a disrespectful gesture towards Guerrero. “I didn’t know much about him, but then I realized most of the moves I was doing and doing, I don’t know why, but my body gives way to his moves. When I combed over the top rope, everyone was booing. No disrespect for Eddie Guerrero. We love Eddie Guerrero,” Paul said.

Paul then talked a little bit about the possibility of doing more with WWE. “I don’t have a fan base in WWE, I guess that’s why they like me,” Paul said. “I think part of my value comes in bridging the gap between the mainstream and the WWE world. If I end up being more involved, I’d like to help bridge that gap with WWE. I think there is a way to make the mainstream, a viral cultural phenomenon with WWE.”

Paul seems to have a natural talent for in-ring performance, and he knows it. “I want to be humble, and I will, but I’m good at this,” Paul said. “I’ve realized all my life, I’ve been throwing my body out of things, I’m flexible, and doing these stunts.”
